DIVINE NOURISHMENT – PART TWO

Riding the Wave of Transformation

Imagine yourself riding a wave. If you don’t stay balanced and ride out the wave completely, you could easily drown. Riding this wave of transformation requires becoming one with it, feeling every motion, twist and turn it takes. You have to position yourself perfectly in the sweet spot to hang on for the ride of your life. The wave has given you a memorable experience that has changed you forever. You have felt the thrill of merging with such an awesome power.

This is the wave of creative sexual energy that fuels and promotes life. Each season embodies an aspect of the wave. In this book we are exploring how this wave affects us through the yearly cycle of nature from season to season; what it feels like to be merged with this wave of energy; how to stay balanced so we can ride out the entire wave each year and receive its benefits.

When we merge with this wave we are given the opportunity of experiencing an outrageous ride integrating life, death, and transformation, cycle after cycle supporting us to live by nature’s law. When you look around at the condition the world is in, it is obvious that we have forgotten how to ride this wave, and we are thrashing around in the froth.

What on earth does this have to do with food? Nature has the intelligence of producing the foods that energetically embodies the particular aspect of the wave at that time of the cycle for the various environments. Seasonal local food grounds us and supports the balancing on this wave, which keeps us healthy. Nature nourishes us in a way that supports us to feel the sweet spot on this wave and have an incredible, transformational ride through life. We become and embody this wave of energy. No small thing.

When you look at the entire wave throughout the course of the year from season to season, nature embodies a map for transformation that is perfection. She is our greatest teacher and has it all laid out for us. How to shed the old, grow and evolve every yearly cycle and live in a harmonious way that promotes the nourishment and continuation of life. Just follow her lead. What works for her will work for us.

When we thwart this process, disease and ill health sets in because this life giving energy can not flow through us. We lose our flow. This shows the importance of healthy sex circulation, which is an aspect of the fire element. So it not only matters what we eat, but when and how we eat it for optimum health and a long life.

I have exposed myself as to why I am so passionate about food. I am trying to master the ride, and look to nature as my teacher in how to do this. I will admit that it has not been easy. Our world is not set up to support it. And our modern food industry is abominable with little to no respect for nature’s intelligence.

The ancient ones rode this wave effortlessly and utilized the force of nature because they didn’t know themselves in any way but merged with it. They lived their lives so connected to nature that it was just the way it was. They were very aware of the support they were receiving and actively honored it as their teacher.

We lived as a human race for thousands of years harmoniously, sacredly, until we lost our connection with nature. History shows that all cultures that did not live according to natural law perished, which we are now in danger of. So it makes sense to turn back to her as our teacher in how to live, transform and die. The food gives us an ability to ground and balance ourselves while we take this transformative ride. Seems like this is a good place to start.

The trough of the wave is energetically embodied in the winter months, flowing into spring as the energy rises, peaking in the summer, integrating the outward, (masculine) and inward (feminine) part of the wave in late summer, dipping down and descending in the fall, back to the trough in the winter.

When we have a healthy relationship with the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of each season the creative energy flows through us, carries us, and supports us to grow and let go of what does not contribute to the continuing cycle of life.

I will admit that following this cycle has resulted in the deconstructing of societal conditioning and has not been easy. There is so much to let go of in order to return to natural law and reclaim this feminine wisdom within ourselves.
