Because Mary embodies the journey, she is able to support women to navigate and distill the wisdom of their own journey. Through mentorship and consultations she supports them how to ride the waves of transformation. As a result, there is a remembering, reclamation, and restoration of the lost earth wisdom we all carry and were collectively cut off from, when the feminine qualities and power were devalued.
Every woman has her own unique journey within the over arching collective journey. Aligning with the natural intelligence, direct guidance through the teachings of their own life experiences, women are returning to honoring their value and gifts. She holds a space to unfold, feel safe, and become a force for the good of the whole. Ultimately, clearing themselves of the denser energies of belief structures infused in a patriarchal paradigm, and becoming a vessel for the birth of a new paradigm, that honors all of life, including themselves.
Over her forty-year career as a professional chef, Mary’s journey took her through a doorway into the wisdom of nature. She became a devoted student of the natural world. Over time, the Mother’s wisdom revealed itself as a vast reservoir which has the capacity to take us home to ourselves.
Mary discovered our relationship with our Mother Earth has a direct affect on our relationship with food, medicine, essential feminine and masculine qualities, and their relationship, sexual creative energy, death, evolution, and humanness as a sacred journey. Many of the aspects of ourselves that have been distorted by modern society that are so crucial to our authentic nature. What started as a path with food and vocation as a chef, went far beyond what could have been imagined.
Mary Lane’s studies have supported her alignment with nature’s wisdom. These studies have included a two-year schooling as a professional chef, a two-year schooling in five element nourishment, a two-year schooling in plant spirit medicine, a decade focused on sacred sexuality, ongoing schooling on conscious dying, Five Rhythm dance, and studies with several teachers in herbalism and wild food identification.
Some co-creations come often, some take a lifetime to distill, integrate, and bring into form. Mary’s books, and offerings are a manifestation of her alignment with her soul’s journey. The journey has facilitated her own healing and growth and continues to deepen her ability to keep stepping deeper into her heart and soul.
Currently, Mary is focused on supporting herself and others to re-member and restore our sacred relationship with death in alignment with the wisdom of the natural world. Whether it is death of old identities, death of a loved one, aging, or walking consciously towards the end of our own life. She offers consultation, mentoring, support with plant spirit essences, and online courses.
“It’s easy to dismiss a woman who has traveled through the darkness over and over throughout a long life. Mastering death and rebirth in order to survive within a society that deems her terrifying. What to do with women who have “remembered” who we are, quietly in the shadows? As the maiden and Mother step back to honor her in the autumn of her life, she takes her seat at a table with honor, embracing the wisdom garnered only through the Divine journey lain before her. She plants the seeds, and nourishes the growth of the next generation, just as nature would do. She wears her scars, wrinkles, saggy skin, grey and white hair with grace and dignity, and a knowing that she carries something within her being that only elders carry, and this world needs. I call upon all the wise women to take your seat at the table. You have earned it. And, join me in sharing our wisdom with the next generation.” Mary
